What is cavity wall?

Around a third of all heat lost from a property without efficient insulation, heat escapes through your walls. Installing Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI for short) is one of the most cost effective measures to save energy and money.

How much would I save?

You can save up to £300 per year just by having your walls insulated. Whilst there are grants available to have the measures installed completely for free funded under the governments ECO scheme, it wouldn’t cost you a single penny to have it installed but you still benefit from the yearly savings and money off your heating bills.

How is the cavity insulation installed?

Installers will drill a series of holes all the way around your property in the mortar between the bricks, once all the holes are drilled they will inject CWI through the holes into your walls. Once finished they will re-point the holes with mixed cement to ensure weather proofing and to make sure you cannot see the holes that were drilled.

All insulation work is funded under the ECO scheme and is completely FREE to you with no catch and no hassle.

What We Do

Cavity Wall

Cavity Wall Insulation can only be installed in walls that have been built with a cavity. There are three main build types (excluding some more uncommon types).

Cavity Wall
Solid Wall
Timber Frame

The most common and easiest way to check if your walls can have CWI installed is to look at the bricks of your home from the outside. If the bricks are constantly laid length ways along one length of the walls this assumes cavity. If the bricks are laid one length and then half brick all the way along, one length of a wall this assumes solid. If your home was built before 1920 you can almost guarantee that you have solid walls

Loft Insulation

A quarter of heat is lost through the roof in an uninsulated home. Insulating your loft is a simple and effective way to reduce heat loss and reduce your heating bills. Loft insulation is effective for at least 40 years and it should pay for itself many times over.

What is the ECO scheme?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.

About the ECO Scheme?

The scheme began in April 2013, and over time it has been amended. The latest changes to the scheme occurred in 2017, and apply to measures installed from 1 April 2017. We have termed the latest version of the scheme as ECO2t.
The obligated energy suppliers work with installers to introduce certain efficiency measures into your home, such as loft or wall insulation or heating measures.

Can I benefit from ECO?

In order to benefit from ECO you must own your own home or have the permission of your landlord.
You can benefit from ECO regardless of who you purchase your energy from since you don’t need to buy energy from an obligated supplier in order to benefit.

You shall receive upon completion of install
